Instrumental classical, with a good tempo keeps me moving forward. Sometimes a piece can help set the mood of the scene you are trying to write. Otherwise I find classical music serves as a subconcious motivator, encouraging my own creative muscles.<br /><br />If I am stuck with a direction, silence is usually best.
